Journey to Norway's far northern reaches to meet the Sami. You'll learn about their ancient way of life while fishing for king crabs, snowmobiling and dog sledding. If you're lucky, you'll also experience the spectacular Northern Lights.

In Tromso, board the Norwegian Coastal Voyage for a trip along the wild, unspoiled coast to Kirkenes, near the Russian border. The vessel will call at several ports along the way, including Honningsvag, where you may join an excursion to the North Cape.

Day 2: Arrive in Oslo and transfer to hotel, then go explore.
Day 3: Transfer to the Oslo Airport for flight to Tromso, where you'll embark on your Norwegian Coastal Voyage.
Day 4: Relax onboard, or take an excursion to the North Cape.
Day 5: Arrive in Kirkenes and transfer to your hotel. You'll have time for optional excursions.
Day 6: Public bus to Karasjok. Optional dog sledding trip in the afternoon. Evening outing in search of the Northern Lights.
Day 7: Visit a reindeer farm; tour Lapland, also known as Sapmi.
Day 8: Transfer to Lakselv Airport for flight to Oslo.

Honningsvag : North Cape : Honningsvag, travel by motorcoach to the North Cape.

These trips—King Crab Safari; Swimming in the Barents Sea; Dog Sledding; and Barents Safari—are available.

• King Crab Safari, at a choice fishing spot, your guide will catch several of these gigantic crustaceans, and then upon your return to land, prepare them for you. Now this is as fresh as seafood gets!
• Swimming in the Barents Sea, travel by snowmobile to the Barents Sea, where you'll don dry suits, so you can float comfortably in the icy waters. Then warm up with some hot tea and a sauna.
• Barents Safari, after snowmobiling across the frozen sea, learn about Sami life as you relax with a drink by the fire in a traditional dwelling.
• Dog Sledding, a dog sledding expedition along the Russian border; ends with a traditional Sami wilderness meal.
