Your expedition begins in Bergen, where your tour director will guide you through this historic city's many sights including a stroll through the wooden buildings in the Bryggen Wharf. Your tour will include ample opportunity to become one with Bergen's rich cultural past.
Next on your escorted adventure you will venture to the stunning Norwegian fjord region. Explore the unspoiled Hardangerfjord, one of the longest fjords. Take in the cascading waterfalls and snow dusted mountains on your two-hour cruise on the Sognefjord, one of the longest and deepest fjords in the world. Enjoy a luxurious stay at a charming hotel. You will ride on the Bergen Railway-named one of the "Top Rail Experiences in the World"- to Myrdal and Flam, where the views will leave you breathless. Upon your return to Bergen, you'll embark on your spectacular northbound Norwegian Coastal Voyage. During your Norwegian fjords cruise you will experience the breathtaking beauty of a truly unbelievable land. Your port of call in Kristiansund, a lovely city built on five islands, will offer you an introduction to Bacalao, Norway's well-known salted, dried codfish. Continue your journey with stops in Rorvick, Bronnoysund and Nesna before crossing the Arctic Circle. You'll experience what some believe to be the most beautiful scenery you will ever encounter as you sail through the island groups of Lofoten and Vesteralen. Continue your Norwegian fjords cruise, enjoying more than twenty ports of call with escorted tours through farmlands, mountains, waterfalls, flora and cultural adventures. The cruising portion of you trip ends in Vadso where you will immerse yourself in this fishing village's rich history. In contrast to the glacier-crusted fjords to the south, Vasdo provides green hills strewn with flowers and short peaks. Discover the secrets of the native Sami, including a stay in the village of Karasjok. Finally, fly to Oslo, where you will have nearly two days to discover this vibrant city before your return flight back to the U.S.

Day 1: Depart the U.S.
This evening, depart on your transatlantic flight to Bergen to begin your Norwegian fjords vacation.
Day 2: Arrive in Bergen
At Flesland Airport, you'll be met by your English-speaking guide and transfer by private motor coach to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore. Bergen is filled to the brim with activity, sights and culture along with shopping and dining delights a plenty. Join your tour guide towards evening for a delicious welcome dinner at a local restaurant. [D]
Day 3: Bergen
After breakfast, your guide will take you on a tour of Bergen to visit the lively fish and flower markets and the centuries-old Bryggen Wharf. Venture to the Hanseatic Museum followed by a guided tour of the city's culture-rich outskirts. You have the afternoon and evening free to explore Bergen on your own. Discover why it is called the "City between the Seven Mountains" as you immerse yourself in Norway's capital city and stroll the shops through this old tradesman's town. [B]
Day 4: Bergen–The Hardangerfjord–Lofthus
After breakfast, you'll travel by motor coach along the shores of the Soerfjord, and then traverse the wild Tokagjelet Ravine to get to the Hardangerfjord region, where you'll see the thunderous Steinsdalfoss waterfall. You'll sail by ferry to have lunch at the Rosendal Fjord Hotel. Then, you will continue on to Lofthus, often called "the Orchard of Norway" and the major inspiration of composers like Edvard Grieg. Enjoy dinner and your overnight stay. [B/L/D]
Day 5: Lofthus–The Hardangerfjord–The Sognefjord–Balestrand
After breakfast, you'll drive past the Norwegian fjord village of Kinsarvik before taking the ferry. Enjoy a drive on to Voss, past the powerful Skjervet Waterfall. Board the Bergen Railway for a breathtaking trip to Myrdal and Flam. In the afternoon, you'll enjoy a two-hour Norwegian fjords cruise on the Sognefjord, where you'll see cascading waterfalls, secluded hamlets and snow-dusted mountains. Then it's on to the village of Balestrand for a night at the fabled Kvikne's Hotel. [B/D]
Day 6: Balestrand–Bergen/Embarkation
Enjoy a morning at leisure. After lunch, you'll sail by ferry to Vik for a visit to the ancient Hopperstad Stave Church. Then it's back to Bergen, where you'll begin your Norwegian Coastal Voyage filled with adventures along the Norwegian Sea. [B/D]
Days 7–11: Bergen-Vasdo
During your Norwegian Coastal Voyage you'll make memorable stops all the way to Vadso. This adventure includes the Norwegian fjord of Geirangerfjord among others. Be sure to covet a spot on deck as the captain maneuvers through the narrow Rafthsun Strait into the most amazing view Trollfjord. Along your incredible journey you'll make ports of call filled with museum visits, walking tours, Stone Age settlement tours, mountain climbs and more. Day 12: Disembarkation/Vadso–Karasjok
Travel by motor coach to Karasjok, the capital of the Sami. Enjoy a unique dining experience in a Sami turf hut while sitting on reindeer skins around a fire. [B/D]
Day 13: Karasjok–Alta–Oslo
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for a flight to Oslo. [B]
Day 14: Oslo
After breakfast, you will enjoy an escorted tour of Oslo. You'll visit many sites, including the Viking Ships Museum, the Akershus Fortress and Royal Palace. Spend the afternoon exploring. Your Norwegian fjords adventure ends with a farewell dinner at the hotel. [B/D]
Day 15: Depart Oslo- Arrive in the U.S.
