Everyone who climbs our gangway can look forward to as many as six memorable days. But it is not only in completing the journey - you will have passed one river, three canals, eight lakes, 66 locks and even travelled on two seas.

Nor is it the uncommon experience of having risen 91 metres via the ingenious locks and then returned down. No, much of what is gained on this trip comes from the singular atmosphere on board our boats. Not to mention that in travelling on this hand-dug canal between two of the country’s largest cities each traveller becomes part of an unmatched history that already stretches over three centuries.
